YAKIMA - Arne Stokbro Lodahl, 77, died Friday, August 13, 2004 at Yakima Regional. He was born August 19, 1926 in Hurup, Denmark to Christian Smed and Astrid (Stokbro) Lodahl. When he was an infant, his family emigrated to the United States and settled in Dagmar, MT. After his mother died, his father remarried and the family moved to Granger in the early 1940's where they farmed. When he was 18 years old he was drafted into the U.S. Navy during World War II, after his naval service he returned to the Yakima Valley and he later met and married Opal Sullivan on April 29, 1950. They settled in Yakima and moved to Moxee in 1964, where he worked as Public Works Director and Marshall for the City of Moxee until his retirement. He enjoyed watching baseball on T.V. and going to watch the Bears play.See the full content of this document
