Cy and Wendy were partners in a Chicago game. Against Cy's grand slam West led the king of hearts, and Cy's plan was to try for four diamond tricks (a 55 percent chance). He threw the 10 of spades on the ace of hearts, took the ace of trumps, ruffed a heart, drew trumps and tried the high diamonds.
