Cinemavore -- 'Bottle Rocket'

Summary

You know there's something wrong with your friends when you have to pretend to break out of a mental institution to impress them. It would be silly to admit you checked yourself in and were simply ready to go. Yet, that's how 1996's "Bottle Rocket" starts out.

Starring Owen and Luke Wilson, "Bottle Rocket" is a crime caper for the slacker generation. It's both of their feature film debuts, and it's interesting to see how their onscreen personas have really changed very little. It's not bad, but it reminds me that Keanu Reeves really needs to stay in a role like the idiot boyfriend in "Parenthood." It's hard to take any of them seriously.
