Washington state's 2008 presidential primary election has been moved from May to Feb. 19 and that's good. It will dovetail nicely with a series of "Super Tuesday" primaries two weeks earlier.

Now, if it just had more meaning, we could really get enthused about its potential to be a major factor in next year's presidential sweepstakes.
