While most fans' attention was focused on a few talented teens in the just-concluded U.S. Women's Open, parochial pride centered on a 22-year-old local product who will be a senior this fall at the University of Washington.
Eisenhower graduate Paige Mackenzie played some of the finest golf of her amateur career as she competed against professionals en route to a tie for 13th in the prestigious tournament held this year at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado.
