Given all the problems and bad publicity out of the Yakima County Courthouse in recent years, one might wonder why anyone would even want to be a Yakima County commissioner.
Rand Elliott says he has been among the sharpest critics of county leadership and decided the best way to do something about that was to take a run at the seat being vacated by Jesse Palacios, who did not seek re-election.
