IRVING, TEXAS - Gary Steven Nesvig was born in Yakima, WA on May 5, 1952 and died in a drowning accident on July 10, 2004 in Irving, Texas. He was the third of five children of Nancy and Dr. Jack Nesvig.
Gary was always a Yakima boy at heart, even though he spent much of his life in Western Washington. Gary attended grade school at St. Paul's, began his high school years at Marquette, and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1970. Gary attended Yakima Jr. College for a year and then enlisted in the United States Army, where he was fortunate to spend most of his military service in Landstuhl, Germany. Gary worked in the medical and social services area and was able to travel extensively throughout Europe. After receiving his honorable discharge, Gary returned to Seattle and began a career in the restaurant industry. He worked in management for Ray's Boat House in Hawaii, the Rio Cafe, Trattoria Michelle and The Keg Restaurants in Canada and the Seattle area.See the full content of this document
