YAKIMA, Wash. -- Pounding the pavement to drum up support, gubernatorial candidate Shahram Hadian on Monday made stops in Yakima and Zillah to explain how he'd fix the state budget crisis.

After holding a meet-and-greet luncheon in downtown Yakima, Hadian also stopped at Valley Covenant Community Church in Zillah to shake hands and tell residents why they should elect him to office.
