Yakima County commissioners and Department of Corrections Director Steve Robertson are looking at the possibility of keeping certain people out of the county jail when they're arrested.
That's a good idea for now, given the fact that the main lockup and annex are bulging at the seams. Besides, they're only talking about not jailing people arrested for certain low-level crimes, not inmates who have been convicted and are serving time.See the full content of this document
