Summary


SELAH - Jimmie Elaine Younker went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on the evening of May 27th, 2009 while resting peacefully at home in Selah, Washington. Elaine was the first of two daughters born to Servie Redus (Brun) Elam and Mildred Faye (Love) Elam on May 4th, 1936 in Eros, Arkansas. Elaine grew up and was educated in the Yakima Valley and it was there that she met the love of her life and husband of 49 years, David M. Younker. Elaine and David were married in 1955 and settled in Selah where they raised their three children. Elaine worked in local warehouses and finally retired from Matson Fruit Co. after 30 years. Elaine was a talented seamstress, masterful cook, and wonderful homemaker.

Elaine was a professed and devoted Christian. She was a 29 year member of the Selah Church of the Nazarene and regularly hosted a Bible study in her home. Through her love and faith in Jesus Christ, she led her family and numerous others to know the Lord by being a living testament to the word of God.
