YAKIMA, Wash. -- Those still interested in running for elected office in Yakima and Benton counties have one more chance.

Following state law, the auditor's offices in Yakima and Benton counties will hold a special election filing period Aug. 22-24 to give candidates a chance to file for positions that drew no candidates during last week's normal filing period.
