YAKIMA - "Mike" (Richard A.) McNamara passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 with his wife and daughter at his side. He was born in Yakima at St. Elizabeth Hospital on October 31, 1923 to Bert and Lillian McNamara. He was raised in the Yakima Valley on the Ahtanum, the Wenas, and later the Nile. He was drafted into the Army from his senior year of high school and served in World War II. However, he never spoke of the war or much of his time served other then keeping in contact with his "buddies" who remained his friends through life.See the full content of this document
