Several important wine newsletters and magazines, racing to be the first to review the latest, greatest vintage, have already weighed in on the 2002 Oregon pinots. Not surprisingly, there is very little agreement about the wines.
Why can't the critics arrive at any meaningful consensus? For starters, many of the wines likely to be among the best have not yet been released.
