Jane Orleman's work has always been deeply personal. She paints with a brash, feminist eye, and her honest work is not always easy to digest.
Her newest work, however, takes a different tone -- although it's still rich with symbolic narrative imagery. Those works -- 13 large- scale oil paintings created since 2004 -- go on display next week in Central Washington University's Sarah Spurgeon Gallery.
