Pacific Northwest Ski Area Guide

Where: 50 miles west of Yakima on Highway 12.

Elevation: 4,500-6,000 feet.

Lifts: Five -- high-speed express quad, triple chair, two double chairs, one surface lift (percentages -- beginner 20, intermediate 60, advanced 20).

Lift prices: Monday-Friday -- $29 all-day adult ($20 junior/ senior), half-day (12:30-4 p.m.) $20 and $14. Weekends and holidays -- $43 all-day adult ($27 junior/senior); half-day $30 and $20.

Operating hours: Daily 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m.; night skiing until 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays from Dec. 26 to March 3.

What's new: Nothing, after the four new snow-making guns added for last season that allow the ski area to stay open even when Mother Nature doesn't cooperate.
