She attended school in Grandview and graduated in 1954. She married George Hecker on September 25th, 1954. They had five children. She was a devoted farmer's wife and a loving mother. She worked at Haskin's Variety Store in Grandview part-time while raising her children and helping on the farm. She loved to sew, quilt and shop at the thrift stores for that special find.
