A day after a petition was filed to move the Benton County seat from Prosser to Kennewick, some county commissioners are disagreeing about how to proceed with the county's construction plans.
For about a year, Benton County has considered building a new administration office building next to the Benton County Justice Center to consolidate its offices elsewhere in Kennewick. The commissioners also have discussed improving accessibility at the Benton County Courthouse in Prosser and adding on a new courtroom there.
