YAKIMA -- John Raney beat out points leader Mel Patnode for his first Hobby Sportsman main event victory Saturday at Yakima Speedway.
Raney took the lead on lap two and held off Patnode from there. Jerry Walker took third. In other racing Saturday: Nathan Voyle won Hobby; Steve Hall took the A Main in Hornets and Eric Coble won the B main; Cody Mullins was first in Youth Hornets; and Bobby A.
