SEATTLE (AP) -- Another 2,340 students in the class of 2008 have passed the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, but 42 percent of the class still hasn't done well enough on the WASL to graduate from high school, state officials said Wednesday.
Statewide, some 11,673 high school students took the WASL in August, either because they didn't pass the spring test during their 10th-grade year or were absent during testing. Of those, only slightly more than a quarter of the 9,686 students who took the math portion of the test passed this time.See the full content of this document
