Bill was born on June 21, 1915, to Will and Bessie (Davis) Gentry in Medford, Ore. He was the oldest of three children. While growing up, Bill worked with his father in the orchards around Medford. He loved the outdoors even at an early age. In his youth, one of his favorite past times was fly-fishing. Bill would frequently walk two miles to the Rogue River to go fly-fishing. ...
